About 1h30 by car from the airport. By bus from the Natal terminal the trip takes 2h10 to 2h30.

Not to stay in the village, which you cross on foot. A car helps if you want to reach further beaches such as Tourinhos independently. Buggy tours and local agencies are also available.

Yes. It is one of Brazil's reference spots for kitesurfing and windsurfing, with steady wind year-round, flat water close to shore and 2 to 3 km of obstacle-free sand, with conditions for every level.

Ponta do Santo Cristo, in front of the schools and gear storage clubs. It has the best conditions, clean sand and no rocks, trees or obstacles.

Yes. There are no rocks, trees or volleyball posts in the sailing area, the water near the beach is flat and there is plenty of room on the sand. The local schools keep a rescue boat on standby for students and members.

Close to shore the water is flat. About 300 metres out, by the rock reef, waves of up to 2 metres form. Depending on the tide a smaller wave sets up, good for manoeuvres.

Rarely. The number of sails on the water is usually low and there is enough room on the sand to rig and launch without competing for space.

Yes. The town hosts high-level wingfoilers for training and competition, thanks to the wind conditions and the variety of beaches in the region.

The wing is lighter and more manoeuvrable than a kite, which gives more speed, agility and control. Wingfoiling also needs less space and less wind, which is why it is considered safer for beginners and intermediates.

It is advisable to bring some. Pix is widely accepted and cards work at most guesthouses and restaurants, but beach kiosks and craft stalls do not always accept them, and the ATM can run out of cash in high season.
